Show SolutionHide Solution↓

Given,

3 is a root of the quadratic equation x2 - px + 3 = 0

∴ 32 - 3p + 3 = 0

⇒ 9 - 3p + 3 = 0

⇒ 12 - 3p = 0

⇒ 3p = 12

⇒ p = $\frac{12}{3}$ = 4.

Hence, Option 1 is the correct option.
