Bronchodilation
Reason — When Bharat panicked after missing the bus, his sympathetic nervous system became active. This prepared the body for an emergency situation by widening the air passages so that more air could enter the lungs and more oxygen could be supplied to the muscles. This widening of the air passages is called bronchodilation.
In such situations, the coronary arteries dilate, the muscles become more active, and the respiration rate increases.
